Christian Education is a very important mission. It is very dear to the heart of God and absolutely crucial to the advancement of the Gospel, to the Great Commision, to discipleship. Our children and young people are inundated everyday through technology, the media, social and peer pressure, and many other influences with content that is diametrically opposed to the Biblical worldview and the very fact that the only real context for living in this world is a vibrant relationship with the One Who created it and knows how it works.
As Christian Educators, we have a strategic role to play in helping our young people develop the right perspective of life. That is what discipleship is about. Yet we face so many challenges. The resources seem to be much smaller than the dreams God has given us. The partners seem to be few and far between both in terms of staff to help carry out the vision, parents who have a conviction about Christian Education, and the list could go on. Still, we cannot let these hold us back; not the lack of financial resources, not challenges with supportive parents, not challenges with competent staff, not challenges with any other resource. Victory has already been given to us (2 Cor. 2:14)
